About Berwick Signs
Gary Stafford started Berwick Signs in 2014 from his home garage. Having lived in Berwick for 30 years he saw the need for a sign shop in Berwick and opened Berwick Signs in Intrepid Street in 2015.
Gary has over 40 years’ experience in the trade, having started his apprenticeship in 1976 with his parents’ signwriting business Stafford Signs located in Braeside.
His father Patrick Stafford also a Signwriter, coming from a family of generations of Signwriters and Painter & Decorators. Gary’s sons are carrying on the tradition also working in the business.
Stafford Signs merged in 2000 to become Stafford Spicer Signs moving to Dandenong South. Gary sold this business in 2013, and did signage consulting and installations before deciding to start up Berwick Signs. He also still operates Stafford Sign Install, an installation service to the trade with mainly interstate clients.
Berwick Signs has grown from starting with a team of two to a team of nine since opening our Intrepid Street office.
